Mhallide last week of flowering?

Im not too sure its true but I honestly do not know so I am posting this to either hopefully find out it is true and use it to our advantage or either prove one of my buddys wrong.

so, is it true? And if it is what would cause that to take place?

It helps so TRUE.

Optimally, your wattage should be 2/3 HPS and 1/3 MH.

If you add MH at Flowering, you will see a difference even though MH is used for Veg.

MH during flowering, that is against everything i learned about lighting indoors :confused:

...to justify me, as far as i know MH's got spec of light for grow, so it should be in the blue mainly. since flowering is done in the fall sun, the lights should resemble this as well, so they have to be heavy on the red spec of light, which HPS supposed to be... that is why MH make no sense to me for flowering bongsmilie

or maybe it does, since blue light has more power to it then red... i'm just confused by your question :confused:

I dont knwo about using mh for only the last week, but I know you can flower under mh just fine, you may loose a little on yeild, but it'll be every bit as potent. Metal Halides also seem to give better floral attributes

Right, Im sure that you could use it for the bloom cycle but thats not my question, Ive already got an hps now, What my question is.....

Has anyone heard of using only metal hallide for the final week of flowering??? (possibly creating more crystals/thc glands)

or possibly this could pertain to the "no light for final 48-72 hrs." effect.
same outcome????

It is much better to use both through the whole grow, Most dont have the space, power ect. I use both.

ONLY MH no. I have never done this or seen it done.

I suspect it is nothing more than what you already suspect and that it stresses the plant which produces more trichs.
