MH vs. HPS for Vegging

Need some advice and /or opinions.
I'm Flowering w/ 400HPS.
I'm Vegging w/ 175w MH in a 3'x4' rm.

What is best for great growth during vegging?

I flower with 400hps and veg with 250 MH on the same dimmable ballast. I would say MH is always better and you don't need as much wattage for veg. So I think you're fine unless you plan to veg them to a large size.

I use HPS for both veg & flower.

you don't get the right spectrum vegging with hps you could use both but a 4x4 grow area it would prolly just be overkill

I have done both but not MH for flowering, MH or CFL's for veg and HPS always for flower.
