SO what is usually the recommended distance from your plants you want for a 400 watt mh/hps setup? Thanx in advance.

one foot, try to also have a fan blowing inbertween the lite and plants,blowing out.

always keep your lights as close to the plants as you can without burning or discoloration

ok i have similar question like i usually keep it no closer than 8 inches but that seems to starve the plants on the outer edges of light, like if u raise it higher it seems the light spreads across more of the plants on the outer banks, so which is better? 8 inches or letting the outer banks get more light?

i been struggling with this one for a while, anyone know?


also be carful during flowering strech phase. cuz 8 inch distance can turn into 5 inches in one day of flowering and burn your plants before you notice so care is needed.
