also what makes these energy saving ballasts? do they just not give out as much power if so would this give out less lumens since the bulb is not running to its full extent?

also looking at its running amps which is 1.8 my ballast i got now that is pretty damn old it puts out about 4.5 amps is this a waste of power?

if its magnetic probably not 600w i guessing? last question as for the first question yes mh flood loghts can be used as long as your not talking about halogen lights. they will need a little wireing to make them remote but they will work just fine. those amps are rated at 240 volt you ballast is probably rated at 120 volt or your running a 1000. no those ballasts are standard 400w ballasts 3.6 amps 120volt 1.8 amps 240volt. that website looks shady too

yer but im trying not to buy everything off of the net but i think its my only option.Just get the proper lights they dont cost much.

they're too hot.......you have to back them up so far, that all that light gets lost. one gardeners opinion.

are you talking about the mh lights if so i have got a 8inch inline fan comming (should be here by now, i should contact the seller) it will be in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2 meter tent so temp should be fine i hope. oh wait i think i know what you mean. well do you think a air cooled hood is in order??
