Mh 400w 38,000 lums Vs. Hps 400w 55,000 Lums ???

Soon i'm going to start my second grow, (pic';s of first grow below). I have new Digital 400w ballast so i now can run both Mh & Hps so my question is which is better to use in vegg faze of growth?? I know everyone says Mh in Vegg. and Hps in Flowering BUT the Mh is only 38,0000 Lums per. 400w and the Hps is 55,000 lums per 400w so is it better to loss 17,000 lums by useing Mh and get better light spectrum or just continue to use the Hps, with more lums but less of the cerrect light spectrum for vegg stage. I guess its a trade off, one has better light spectrum (Mh in veg but less lums) and other Hps more lums less light spectrum, I was thinking about switching bulbs every day at set time so one day i have Mh for 23.5 hours then the next day Hps for 23.5 hours. i know this may sound crazy to switch bulbs in and out every day but it for the girls and i think i should be doing only the best for my girls with what i have and i have both so what do i do??? if any one can help me with this i would really appreciate it. Any help plz.

I believe that even though we lose some lumens the spectrum is so much better we gain more from the plants in the end. With my grows even cfls seem to be better during veg, no bullshit. So i would go with the mh until 12/12. I would also give them a rest for at least 4 hours during veg, I have done both and i dont notice a diff in growth rates but my plants are much greener on 18-6 then they were on 24-0. Your plants look great and you should do even better this time around with the mh.I also think if you use mh for veg then go 12/12 with hps they respond faster because you have cut the time down AND you have changed there spectrum. good luck and keep us posted.
