what can i add to water for a mg deficiency in my hydro kit one guy on here said epsom salt b ut i thought salt was bad for a plants idk help please.

Epsom salt contains a lot of magnesium and some use it as a part of their nute regiment. Do you know why you are mag deficient? I ask because I am curently mag deficient as well but mine is caused by ongoing pH issues... In my case adding mag won't help until I get the pH under control. My nutes have plenty, the plants are just currently unable to use them. Hope this helps. Maybe someone with more experience will come along soon to help you out.

Epsom salts are magnesium sulfate, not the salts you would think of. Epsom is completly safe for your plant is small amounts. I wouldn't do more than a teaspoon per gallon.

In situation like that I would foliar feed. In fact when I notice any sort of deficiency I usually foliar feed straight away and then check PH, nutes etc. It gets the plant recovering quicker IMO.

Well finnally someone with some fantastic advice! PH first, then fix deficiencies.

You know the internet is littered with pics describing what nutrients are taken in at what Ph level. Shit the internet has all kinds of useful resources, who would of thought?

Thanks emmpey. That was going to be my next step if I couldn't figure out why the pH was so erratic. I had multiple problems causing the extreme pH shifts. I think I got it under control yesterday. The plants are happy today, eating/drinking well again, and should start greening back up soon.
