Meter advice (HELP NEEDED)

Just got my bluelab truncheon meter yesterday. ITs awesome! I've heard it called the cadillac of TDS\EC meters, and i believe it. It doesn't need calibrating and gives a reading in less than a second. Big enough that you won't lose it and pretty spot on accurate. Granted i've only had it for a day, but i would reccomend it.
I use PH strips because i've yet to find a meter that doesnt go out of wack after a couple months, and they're cheap, like 12 bucks for 3 months worth. As for temps, you can get a digital thermometer from wal mart or a local fish/pet shop for under $20.
