Can i put a Mh in a hps ballast if they are the same watts and shit or will it not work becuase it is a hps ballast??

make sure its the right one, but yes you can. ask the store you bought it from.

You need a conversion bulb I think.

you can, but your not suppost to, I believ3e it will work, but not for long, you'll need yto buy an mh conversion bulb if you dont want to buy a second ballast
