Metal halide for flowering.

I have done some research on the web about using a metal halide light for flowering, i heard that the colas will not be as big, but they will be denser? im just curious if anyone has used MH durign flowering, just trying to get some grower to grower info on personal experience. I have a 400W MH over my two girls right now.
