Metal Halide Bulb question

Lowes is selling a Sylvania 400 Watt Metal Halide bulb for $28.98, and I'm thinking on picking it up to complement my 4ft T5. This MH bulb looks like it has a regular screw-in bottom. So the question is, do they require a special MH base, or can this just be screwed into a regular socket?
Thanks in advance for your replies!

NOOO!!! Do not Plug the MH in to a regular socket.. It needs to have a special transformer's that store up the power.. That is why they have to warm up.... They do however sell MH flood lights there with the light and transformers ect... already in the unit...
