MEDIDEDICATED

They just seem ready to flip damnit. Feels like Im doing the wrong thing vegging longer. Trunks look too thin but they take up the right space. So my rambling in action. Yea they got more space to veg. Not as much as I thought. Idk maybe heres when I just start thinking about what clones go to what tents.

I think I got a clue what Im gonna do. Smallest clone for 2.5x2.5, the one on the left hand side will go with another clone in other veg tent to growlab 2.5x5 then the last one futhest away you see there will be 3x3. Will hold for 2 wks after the rest flip.

8 wks is just too soon but it should feel like theyre almost ready cause they are. 9-10 wks was my last two runs and 10 wks was the better results. Im at 8 so idk about flipping now.

The harvest bump.. Do tha harvest bump! Just called the last plant Jellysickle. Its concentrating energy to throw in the towel this weekend. Just a few whites left to ripe overnight. It could go now but this bud structure is not good to chop early. Twiggy grassy hey type bud. I either missed the cure or she just rank and little harsh to smoke.

Jellysickle IHG 9.5 wks ready to me just less than 5 nugs with white hairs. Aka to me a localized finish, up to me if I want to wait for an eighth. It prob would be all done 10 full wks but its not teating high yield at the press so Im ready to scrap her.

Thar she blows. See when I say my clones can be done just a week later despite looking a while away.. This one was like that too. Ec in 1.2 ec out 1.33 ph in 6.0 ph out 6.1 or 6.2. I dont adjust ph as my tap and nutes at 1.7 make a good acidic 6.0 but with 1.2ec the alkaline tap starts to come thru.

It turns alkaline faster from bacteria and whatever else is responsible for that. Minerals and ph buffers, idk. It smells more like fish tank than pure hydro in root ball so could be better but not rancid at all. Feel like this is synonimous with leafs fading yellow which some were.

Notes notes notes what am I missing. Some seeds in localized buds but mostly clean. Why I dont look for the source of pollen as I still didnt see it harvesting the whole plant. Its wishful thinking to look for them and pluck them. They can be sterile at that.

Alright so Im gonna do a controlled reversal hunt thru these 6 clones. Its a recovery operation. Take 2 cuts from each and keep 6 small vegged temp mothers. Note my yields like Ive been doing just for fun but wow it paid off to mote each time. Seperate plants jar separate.

Then roll in new cuts from new mother but if these all test the same low yields, Im best to start over. I cant find a new pheno if I dont know how to keep this one. A learning experience when I find that next pheno.

Which logically would be more watermelon ultra which I got a pack of. Going to buy more. I better not find out its tru they only have 710 packs made for good. The high flower yield with accetional hash yield/quality just makes it like I have a 30% already.

The odds of having half pound plants with 30% jesus Il take it if it exists but not to stumble upon by luck. A deeper hunt. I done feel like I didnt even scratch the surface of fire phenos. I need to try oni, umami, archive, some others. I just got the more popular ones.

So need to run it 2-3 times in different spots too, shit lol. To really hone in on the best cut. This could take a while but Il be keen on keeping the best genetics of the genetic. Like the pros do lol. Wow this is awesome I knew I was lacking so much knowledge in perpetual run based grow. For extracts too.

Il know exactly what to note, I was actually doing a good job I just didnt understand how it goes I guess. With genetics and indeed involves some level of pheno hunting. When you really get it honed in tho.. That solved my inconsitant problem that came down on me fast.

I need to look out for false positives due to enviormental edge. So run them in diff positions.

Ive heard of the breeders I mentioned and looked at some of their gear before but meant there are more. More I havent really looked into I forget or have yet to look into. I got freebies from breeders I never heard if nor cant find any info on. Juancho genetics? Lol. Cant wait to see what theys about.

Then the fire phenos from what I alread have like IHG and exotic. Especially exotic theys a hermi playground but wow the phenos people get. Usually people that run 100+ plants tho. Sometimes out of just 1 seed or a pack of 6.

Im just after something so specific, I guess a solventless extract grower perpetual clones and mothers. Its a small community. I mean there are commercial growers but not many making their own dabs let alone exclusively like me. Its so worth it tho I love my dabs.

Heres something Il tell ya, my pheno never test washed decently. So they flower rosin isnt going to be there just because it washes well. Like one said it best, there are grapes meant for jelly, some meant for eating off the vine and some are meant to be stepped on for wine.

Same with cannabis strains and I do exclusively and proudly flower rosin. So I cant just do anything that seems fire. My shit still looks pretty good but aint dumping but its I guess a lost pheno issue like I thought it was originally. Then theres the goal of finding the pheno thru seeds.

Breeders will say its great for extracts and any kind of extract but with it being such a numbers game.. You could be hunting for something that was exaggerated. I guess they call them unicorns for a reason. It might be but I find my average from seed is 3-5oz, the high end 7-8oz.

I only had the high flower yield once right here with this pheno. Thats like an oz and a half of flower rosin per clone being 20%. Thats a lot of hash to hold in your hand to a 7oz bag of bud. Thats more than I can ask for for something basic that could easily buy me plenty of spare time to find that unicorn.

A unicorn would be like 2oz per half pound which could be 12oz from 3 pounds if I did 6 clones with stablized performance. This hella cool if what I read works out that way, hell some drift in performance is ok but not this bad. I was reaching a code red and still am there but know what to do now.

Can start to have fun again when I lock in my pheno again or a new one of watermelon.

9wks a week from flip. Lacking already in my hunt, a couple vegged warmer in flower tent to make room to veg better. Well thats an enviormental edge. Need to get rest of plants in tents TODAY. Need to label them and take clones very soon. Make more notes. No rambles just straight notes clean to refer later vigorously.

Will make note of which onces got trunks and not. So far the far back one in hydrogro tent is biggest. The next two biggest are the vivosun 2.5x5 is why I moved them there to even it out in hydro gro tent in basement. Then its the left hand side hydrogro tent (the all white interior) and back corner one in spider farmer veg tent basement.

Then lastly the middle one in hydro gro tent. This why I need label them. Anyway Il know what this means. Next run need to let two of my worst in flower room for couple weeks. If I move upstairs now then just one week for the rest but then puts pressure on chopping them.

That needs be natural as it likely will be which one tent should finish early or early enough to do what I did this run. I just buffer my runs with take cuts two wks after flip for this flexability. So should just leave it way it is.

3x3 clone 233.5gs to 13.4% flower rosin or 31.3gs ish. 11wks veg 8.35oz clone. Rosin quality preserved with 60/60 maybe even some yield. Was a bitch to collect even after 3 hrs cooling. Was getting about as fustrated as I could get. I call it parchment paper madness.

The paper can be appealing but a A-hole to work with at the same time. The more yield, the more I can just scoop and scrape and move on. Idk just got to learn. I learned a few new moves collecting but damn eventually it just was a jackass.

One of those I want to quit moments, for real man, parchment paper madness if you know you know. It preserved quality tho fasho fasho. Strong kushy after taste and soft texture, lighter brown. The yield is great flower wise, so good chance that trait is still here. Juuust need to process the right clone that does 20% too and mother it and am possibly good.

A couple moms will be culled for sure, if it does something like this. Im in a code red because it can so I gots to get to bottom of it. So therefore I think Il pop a watermelon ultra and choc mint og. Im bound to find a keeper in that. Then salvage this pheno for practice, if the best I got only does 15% Im tossing it. The further from 20% it is the more likely.

At the worst Il have 3 moms, a sweet problem to have. Sooo idk mane I changed mind a million times but Im getting desparate.

Damn bra I was gonna go bean crazy but realized my setup can only feed two different ec’s. So really my last idea of just one watermelon and one choc mint og is all I can really do. That should be good anyway I really only want/need one mom or will always be over in plant count with one or two plants.

I gots to abide my fam will inevitably count them maybe not but never know. Thats all they really care about. I know its not a big deal but they think otherwise. If I find they can graft Il do that if possible.

Yea see I wasnt really asking the right Qs. So yea I could salvage it but the low performance is possible again. Its just a beat up pheno. That starting fresh and staying on gen 1 for years at a time before replacing with new and only when absolutely needed. Also with verifying its performance, like a mini pheno hunt.

It should stay performing like that for a good while. I learned everything too late. I got a good clue of what to do with the next one though.

The hunt is on. Building a veg chamber for them asap. The chamber will be able to do 8 clones or seedlings. 10 seedlings max in solo cups. So I can bug proof it and just transplant from solo cups to bug proof long term setup.

Also to just hold up to 8 clones to hunt to reselect mother either urgently like now or at the end. At the end where I shut down for a year after a year growing. Or even during just a quick way to keep best of the best. The goal is be on look out for declining performers and NOT perpetuate them.

In this case will hold 6 clones as copies, 2 new seedlings. Cull most of the 6 when i find the clear winner. If all are bad then will already have two new phenos to test and possibly take over. Watermelon ultra and chocolate mint og.

If those dont work then shoot.. Pop more beans I guess. The way I was doing seedlings was a pain and not optimal. This chamber finna be sweet as hell.

Got the girlys in the flower room. Flips tomorrow night. Im thinking 12/12 for 2 wks then taper to 9/15 last couple weeks flower. I dont want them to flower too fast and set its sites too early. The steering wheel is about to fly out of my hands on this one.

The 3x3 clone I been giving extra two weeks veg but this round idk. Its already big enough. So I guess half of them are vigorous already too big but other half is less growth. That and letting two of the bigger ones veg two wks longer in warmer temps has them huge. Idk how much of it is die to warmer temps tho.

I dont think so because the clone that vegged in same cool temps next to the less vigorous clones is huge. Might need to flip it too. We will see how it looks in a week. I plan to plant 4 clones to flower next run, if this batch have some that dont root I will just take more off the last clone.

I have two clones of each so far, one of each should make it to mother. I just dont know which one is the keepers yet so I dont care which ones end up being the 4 clones next run, just that I have copies of all clones atm.

Remember this old thing? Yup its returning to service! The veg hub. Going to put the whole thing in a mattress bag cut to length to tie shut or open for access through the front of tent. Fine mesh screen for intake and pc fan with the same screen over the front of it. 1x2 flood tray made from boot tray. Floraflex manifold.

Its gonna be a micro dtw coco gro dream. Up to 8 clones or seedlings one dripper each with splitter or 10 seedlings in solo cup but would have to add a manifold. I likely will do just 8 at a time anyway.

The interesting part is I can put my flood tray in 3x3 and grow 4 plants from seed hunting. Then could buy two more flood trays to do the same thing in other tent, I just start them off in batches of 4 or 8. Thats for unicorn hunting since its a numbers game, get a good 12 plants going. Get thru a good couple packs.
