Hi will be trying my first grow soon. I bought MGMC and a bag of pearlite. This will be my first grow and am worried about moisture retention. For practice (I'm such a newb) I put 1/3 pearlite 2/3 MGMC in a party cup and punched 3 holes in the bottom. I completely flushed the mixture 3 times and like 5 days later this stuff still seems to be very very moist. So moist that if I were to try transplanting a small plant all the soil would instantly fall off the roots. So after germination of seedlings should I add pearlite to a soil mixture or just use the MGMC by it self? Do I barely water it? Pearlite seems to help a mixure hold water so I am confused as to why one would add this to MGMC? Should be getting my seeds from Nirvana in the next couple of days and am nervous about using MGMC incorrectly, any advice?...
