Mature Outdoor Plant Needs Help Urgent

Hey, my mate (seriously) has this plant of unknown strain in a pot outside. He just ripped it out of the ground about a week ago and replanted it for fear of theft (?) but now every time the sun hits it, it goes all limp. Then, at night it recovers... until the next morning. He is not watering it very much, and I don't think the soil in it is of great quality, no nutrients, I think the same crap where it came from(sand) the weather has been 30c plus daily and a bit windy. The photo is when it wasn't limp. Can it be saved or should he just chuck it in the bin. Thanks.

Should have transplanted with good soil brah.
I love all plants so id never say chuck it to the bin
Is that your only plant?
Try a lil more water, and see what happens...
maybe that heat is drying it out too much and the h20 does not have enough time to properly soak its nether regions?

Agreed, give it enough water that you have some runoff, and see what happens.
How OFTEN is he watering?
86 degrees, plus sun and wind is probably getting her hot.
Don't toss it until you're sure sure she's dead.

Thanks, it's actually not my plant! I am doing a deep water culture grow.
