hey im growing outside for the first time i the ground and my question is if the plants are in the ground than do i need fertilizer? if so what brands are good and what should the numbers look like at different stages of growth. and how much should i mix in with water? -thanks-:blsmoke:

what is the best fertilizer brand to use.......what should the numbers look like at different stages of growth(NPK).......and how should i dilute it in water, like how much fert should be mixed with how much water. and remember this is all outdoors in the ground....thanks man:blsmoke:

I can't remember about the numbers but I'm pretty sure it was 10 10 10 was the best to use but don't quote me on that google it

If the soil you plant them is fetile soil ya may not need to add any until they start to flower.

^^^^ I disagree. I recomend getting some 4 gallon grow bags or pots and then go out and buy some 100% organic soil. Just because some soil has fert in it dont mean its enough for the whole plant life. Think about this, the fert in the soil is delivering the same amount of nutes 24/7. Its a real weak dose but in some cases too much for young plant life. And plants can handle more food the bigger they get. If that fert in the soil is just enough not to burn your little, then what makes you think its gonna have enough till flower??? Especially outdoors when the plant is 3-5 ft tall before flower. So this is why i say get some 100% organic soil that has no fert in it. This way you can feed your own fert and know exactly how much your plant is getting. Because you dont know how much your plant is getting from the fert already in the soil. But if your looking for good fert then go here. High Tech Garden Supply. They will have everything you can possibly need for an awsome price!!! Good luck man.

You disagree.........IF the soil has enough ferts in it why do you want to add more. THE BIG WORD YA MISSED IS "IF"

Thats the thing, soil cant have that much fert in it or plants will get burnt and over fertilized at a young stage. Plant cant handle that much at a young stage. Therefore they dont put that much fert in it. They put just enough fert to give it a small kick, not near enough to feed a 4 ft plant. So do your homework first before giving advice.

You dont know what your talking about! Get some 100% organic soil with no nutes in it? AHHH organic soil has nutes in it. Thats why they call it organic. The nutes are organic. The key word is "IF"

100% organic means 100% chemicle nute free buddy. Organic is made from old, rotten, decomposed vegetation. Any nutes in it are natural and wont effect the ppm meter near as much compared Miracle grow for example.

Fox farm nutes are great. Its hard to mess up with them. How much to add read the bottle.

In general when in the growth stage ya want your N to be higher then the p and opposite for flowering. so like 5-2-3 when veging and 2 52-8 when flowering Now these are not off a bottle of nutes its just some numbers i threw out so you know how it should look and to get an idea about what i am talking about.
