Mason Jar for curing okay?

Well I'm hopefully about to harvest in a week (check the last page of my journal below if you agree with me [wanting to chop 2 weeks after the latest photos]), and have been looking into curing techniques. So I will cut them, put them in a paper bag to let them dry and what not and then eventually put them in a jar of some sort.

My question is, does it matter if the jar is vacuum sealed or not? I don't really wanna go out and buy a new jar and just wanted to make sure that this jar would suffice:

That is instead of a jar like this:

Just let me know guys, thanks!

From my readings that should be fine, That's what I plan on using, It's got the rubber seal. Just make sure you cure it properly, Burp etc....If I'm wrong someone correct me?

Welcome to RIU :hump:

Those are both great jars. I use the glass jar from wal mart that I can fit my hand into. Its about 7 bucks. A good cure takes at least a month so buy a few books to keep you busy :hump:

Yeah I've been reading a lot on here the past couple months so don't really plan on buying a book, and yeah the longer it cures the better but I'm thinking of doing a 2-week cure so its smokeable on 4/20 :D
