What do you guys think about Mars Hydro 96° reflector
975 watt? Dual Spectrum.

I have two of them for a 4 by 4 room.
Thinking about just running them single Spectrum grow..and flower
keep cost down...20211005_061308.jpg

I think they are actually about only 200W of actual draw, with old inefficient diodes. You would need 4 of those with both switches On to flower a 4x4 probably. 2 of them with half the diodes switched off just isn't going to cut it sorry. Nowhere near enough light IMO.

I mean they will grow something, and they are better than nothing.

I have some MarsHydro lights from that era, I use them to raise plants up when I have an uneven canopy.

There's a reason behind why Mars isn't selling these anymore, just sayin...

Midpower whites with some red and far red added is where tech is at now.

Yes.....
Each spectrum is 275 meaning you have to run full spectrum to get the 400+ Watts

$80 for the pair nor bad deal so
Thinking might have to sell them..
What led lights should I be looking for
That would do the job but won't wreck the electric bill
Thanks Bolt

I have the reflector series and replaced the leds with citizen clu038 cobs. Don’t need the fans and much greater output.

I used the existing drivers and you don’t need the cob holders. So the cobs will be $100 per light and you’ll need some aluminum sheet. I’ve since upgraded my lighting but still use these to grow herbs in the kitchen.
