Mark Forums Read

Whenever I try to use the "mark forums read" function under forum actions I get the following error..

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was invalid.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

Is there some other way I can mark stuff as read?

I'm sorry no one has replied. I have never used that function, and don't know anything about it, or what to tell you.

So how do I mark posts as read?

what do you mean by "mark posts as read"?

you can subscribe to a thread for read by using the "subscribe to thread" option so whenever that thread gets bumped, it will show up in your control panel. you can do that by clicking on the "thread tools" option at the top of the thread

I click on the "new posts" button and get several pages of posts. I read some and ignore others. I leave the web site. Some hours later I come back. I click on the new posts button again. I get several pages of posts, not that many new posts have been made, the system is regurgitating posts from previous visit. I want to mark these original posts from first visit as read so that when I come back some time later I can click new posts and not get several pages of posts but get instead the actual posts that were made since my last visit. Now can you say run on sentence?

When you go to a Forum page, the unread posts will be in Bold.

The New Posts page will always show you the most recent posts, whether you have read them before or not.
