Now that was Cool, ya gott'a admit
Was that the "Kustom City" guy who built inter alia the (original TV) Batmobile and the Monkees "vox" car?Shit, Yvonne De Carlo.
George Barris shop was about a mile from my house; we kids would ride our bikes over and spend hours in his display room looking at all his toys.
Oops, I was thinking Lily Munster; Marilyn was the "normal" cousin
Yep, years later he did the Deathmobile for Animal HouseWas that the "Kustom City" guy who built inter alia the Batmobile and the Monkees "vox" car?
I cannot tell you how many nights I fucked off of doing p-chem homework to watch this in the cheap campus theater ... good timesYep, years later he did the Deathmobile for Animal House
It is sobering (damn!) to consider that in the intervening 40 years we still do not have effective Vehicular Vocal Sarcasm. I feel ... diminished. He also did "Kitt" for Knightrider
Oh yeah, I embarrassed my wife at the theater when it came out. The bust is "Emil Faber"I cannot tell you how many nights I fucked off of doing p-chem homework to watch this in the cheap campus theater ... good times
(Whose is the bust on the hood? I am compelled to see Darwin there.)

I have just found out that my 7 year old heartthrob and frequent fantasy (along with Jeanie) has passed.
Thanks for the memories.

Oh my God!!!!!Shit, Yvonne De Carlo.
Indeed she was. Oh yes indeedOh my God!!!!!
She was sooooo fucking HOT!!!!!
Yea, all us old fucks that pulled our dicks watching CBS, have lost Ginger and Mary Ann from the Island, Jeanie from I Dream Of, Donna from the Hillbillies all within the span of the last few yearsI was a big Jeanie fan too but wasn't so hot for Marilyn. Sad to hear she's gone tho.
I was really into models back then and built that car and lots of others like Tommy Ivo's 4 engine dragster and so many I don't remember. Local hobby shop had contests and I won a couple. Lots of planes hanging from my ceiling too.
Then while we were up at our cabin Vancouver had an earthquake and I came home to a floor covered in busted up models. Bought a couple a year ago still sitting in their boxes. A Sopwith Camel and the Red Baron Von Richtofen's Fokker DR. 1 Triplane. One of these days.
It sux getting old and hearing about old icons dying but it's better than the alternative.
