Marijuana Sprout Slow Growth

Ok, so i have planted a marijuana seed that i germinated into some soil indoors. It grew a lot the at first but has now come to a very very slow growth rate. It is about three weeks old and has the two beginning round leaves and the two spikey leaves that are located a little higher up on the plants stem. I only water it when it gets dry so that's good. Could someone please tell me why it is growing soooooooooooo slow? Thank you.
:-?

Try putting a humidity dome over top. And check the temperature at the window sill, if it's too cold, it will slow things down.

Ok so can i make a humidity dome by just throwing something clear over it with a hole cut on top? Do i need to get the humidity from somewhere, or will it just become in there in time? ive never used a humidity dome before. sorry im a newbie.

The temperature is around 68-75 degrees Fahrenheit and for lighting i really just have it on a window sill all day and all night.

well thats your problem... no offense, but how can you expect to grow fast with indirect light. invest in some lighting in you will not regret it bro

Yea I agree here too. It's gotta be getting direct light for at least 12 -16 hours a day.

But for humidity, just spritz the leaves with a bit of water, and throw something clear over top. plastic drink cup works great.. poke a few holes.

Ok thanks guys, I just put my plants in direct sunlight while i try to find a light bulb that i can use(probably won't find one). I will also look for a big enough container to use as a humidity dome. Thanks again and il try to keep you all updated. Any extra tips are greatly appreciated.

If you do that, look for CFL's Those spiral tube lights. Or buy some. But to be sucessful with them you'll need to set up so they are 2 inches away from the plant at all times through growth.

There's specific spectrums you want too. For the veg phase of life you want 6500K Color temp AKA Daylight bulbs. When you go to bud them you can switch out or ADD more with 2700K Colour temp AKA Soft White.

For light out put i find small grows benifit most from 42Watt 2600-2800 Lumen output.

You can manipulate 2 bulbs with a "Y" splitter to give excellent coverage over ONE plant with decent reflector stratagy.

This is an inexpencive way to start a fun grow. Remember Keep it CLOSE, and Keep it cool. And if direct sun is ever available to it during it's "awake" period by all means use it when you can.

I have found one of those spiral florescent lights I think you are talking about but I'm not sure if its soft white or whatever. I will try to use it anyways. I'm going to try a variety of different lights and see how it goes.

it will help no matter what... get as many of those as you can

Since using the lights I can already see that my plant is looking more alive and perky. I'm afraid though that if I leave the florescent light on all the time it may start a fire since its just screwed into a regular lamp. Has anyone had any problems with this?

Could anyone answer my question above?

These bulbs produce LESS heat than a regular bulb. So no. And to reduce the risk even further, a fan blowing the slightest breeze really cools them down.
DON't forget keep the bulbs about 2 inches away from your plant. Maybe look at concentrating the light from it with a home made reflector. Look also on the bottom of the bulb's base for writing. Find out the wattage.

Here's a picture of what my micro grow looks like. I have 4 - 42watt bulbs mounted in sockets on wood.

Very nice set up, but i don't think those are 2 inches from the light. lol. thanks for the response!
You are right those are not 2 inches from the light, because those seedlings have not yet got their second set of leaves yet. When they do I'll move em up.

As for those charlie brown christmas tree nugs, well they were a rescue mission. They were out all summer, and that's all they did.

Found out it was because there were too many pine trees close by makin the soil quite acidic.

But seriously try for 2-3 inches at all times.

Ok will do. Nice job saving that bud! Im using direct sun more than the lights, and they are starting to grow a new set of leaves already. How many sets of leaves should i have minimum before i can start flowering?

You can start flowering from seed if you want to. But the longer you veg the better in general. Whatever space you'll be flowering in, make sure you put your plant into flowering when it's about half the size you can accomidate. It's will still grow about twice or more it's size when you flower it out.
