My exact diagnosis' are Paranoid Schizoeffective disorder, OCD, Mania, Insomnia, social anxiety, allegedly D.I.D., and emotional disorders bordering sociopathic behavior. Now, I'm NOT recommending MMJ use for all schizophrenic types, I know for a Fact that it has an adverse affect on some patients, HOWEVER this is Not how it affects me. To the best of my knowledge I don't even feel the intoxication affect, though all of my symptoms, anxieties, I'm able to sleep, I'm very calm and friendly, and I've Never had a psychotic episode while under the influence of Marijuana products. I currently have a log book I'm starting(4 months in now) one paragraph a month describing my progress.
This is something very important, I think, because it means there's something that Could react positivistly with my fellow crazies, and I Want that for them, I really do. Too much of a stigma has been places on schizophrenia, and the like, and I'd like that to stop. If their was a healthier medication to take that would somehow calm them, and make them sociable, people would see we have the potential to be just like them, it's just...we were born different. The way our brains process certain kinds of information could be slightly or vastly different as apposed to "normal people", and I believe my research will help facilitate such a medication. In the 4 months I've been doing my log, I haven't taken so much as a single pill, not even Aspirin, and I'll tell you, I've Never felt this good, since they started pumping my body with their pharmaceutical b.s. when i was 15. I'm 26 now, and Just feeling what it's like to Not have my liver feel like shit.
I'd like to live past my 40's, and I believe MMJ could be what helps me accomplish that. There's NO reason people like me should have to suffer PERMANENT physical damage for TEMPORARY psychological relief. We deserve better, and so do You.
Thank you for your time, and I now open the floor for discussion :D

OK first your recognition and acceptance that you suffer from schizophrenia is a good start. However I would strongly recommend that any treatment, by self or otherwise, for any affective disorder be overseen by a medical doctor or advanced practice clinician trained in such therapies.

One of the difficulties faced in treating those with schizophrenia is dealing with them when they are suffering a psychotic event. This is when behavior is exhibited that is often quite the opposite the sufferer might display while not psychotic. It is these episodes that are not desirable and for which medication is prescribed. A trait or symptom of schizophrenia is often paranoia so the admonition to "just take your medicine" may be viewed as an attempt to harm the sufferer or to cause them to harm themselves! It is during these events that many schizophrenics "act out" to such a degree that they freak the living shit out of those who are not accustomed to dealing with such behaviors.

"The voices" usually come when medication is stopped. Or they return rather than simply come as they are not a side effect of the actual medication or a side effect caused by stopping them. Many schizophrenics will openly discuss what the voices tell them while others will not share that. It is possible to be schizophrenic without hearing voices, even if not on medicine.

Over the better part of the past 4 decades I have dealt with patients who suffer from every malady known to man except Ebola so far. Mental illness is NOT voluntary. Those who suffer from one or another condition, many in combination, are no more to blame for their plight than somebody who got cancer. In fact some have even less as many cancers are caused by poor eating or smoking or alcohol or sun tanning. Mental illness is inherent, is not induced by the environment and deserves treatment every bit as much as a heart attack.

I pray you truly keep your log and note if things begin to get "a little too much" and you feel yourself getting "those feelings" or whatever and that you seek professional help when you do.

heh I see where you're coming from, but I grew up with Childhood schizophrenia, I'm well aware of what I am, and how my mind reacts. The reason I started this experiment, and the log, is because I used to get urinary tract infections once a month, and my liver always felt like crap, especially when they upped my dosages, or just plain screwed around with what they were giving me. I mean seriously, I have to be on Seroquel And Geodon??? Are you Kidding me? Yeah, sure, I may be a bit crazy, but I'm not That crazy, sheesh. I'm very serious about compiling this data, and putting it to Good use, I want more and more people to benefit from the fruits of my labor, and live longer more fulfilling lives, and I think I can make it happen. I hope I can make it happen.

go to youtube first type in run from the cure. its like 48 mins long. the guy from the documentary has cured many ppl from their schizoeffective disorder.

then type in rick simpson forbidden cure. its 4 hrs long but he talks about how its a really easy condition to cure. its over 5,000 ppl he cured of diffrent "incurable " sicknesses and medical conditions. there is really no reason for you to live with that any more.

if your against getting high check out on youtube the power of juicing raw cannabis. it works just like the run from the cure video with out getting you high

Wish you the best of luck, I used to have problems mentally, never seen no shrink or been diagnosed but after starting smoking marijuana it has done nothing but make my life better overall.
