manicuring tricome covered leafs

so,,,,,,,, I'm doing my first ever harvest
and I need some help
not the big fan leafs,, but the middles sized leafs are covered about half way down with tricomes, can I leave them on,, or just cut half of them off ???
I just cant see cutting them all the way down to the buds
will this make the smoke more harsh or what????
could some one please set me strait

i like to cut all the leaves off as best i can. it gives me something to make hash out of, and when i have left alot of the smaller leaves on i had probs with the leaves drying out to much while the buds werent dry enough. by the time the buds got good and dry the leaves were to crumbly. they kinda turned into dust.

never knew it was this much work ~lol~

I trim right to the bud before drying. Makes for some good hash or canabutter. I put all the trimmings into a box, close it up. Open once a day, stir around the trims, do this until dry.
