Manicuring Techniques

Wanted to get some input on manicuring buds. This is my second harvest and I am having problems finding ways to get rid of leaf tips out of the buds.

My first harvest I cut all the extra leaves off the buds as soon as I cut down the plant. However this harvest I tried a different method. I heard that some people will hang the buds for a day or two before clipping. Well this I'm finding is making it really difficult to prune. When I did it right after harvest I was able to just use scissors and clip any leaves poking out from the buds. This time with the buds hanging all the leaves have layed flat against the buds and aren't sticking out. This just made my life a lot harder.

I was wondering if anyone had some advice on how to get all the leaves off the buds. You will see in the picture what I am dealing with. Is there an easy way to do this or am I stuck with having to separate all the leaves from the bud and cut them with scissors?

Someone help please!

PS next time I'm just going to clean the buds right after I cut them off the plant.
