Males and Females for seeds

So I'm in the middle of my first grow, and coming up on the flowering stage.

I got my seeds from a friend, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get more seeds, so I definitely want to get some from my grow.

My question is: If I leave the males with the females for flowering, (Obviously I'll get seeds), but will it be enough to completely ruin the buds from the females?

The reason I ask is that I really don't have the lighting or another room where I can keep a single male and female together for the seeds.

What would you suggest I do in this situation?
