Male or female

Okay so heres a simple question but i just wanna knoe if it true. Is it true that to see if the plant is male it will have 5 leaves to a leaf, and females range from 7-10? Just wanna knoe so i cant get my facts rite.

not true,I have had plenty of moms that only had 5

Go to the GROWFAQ or search the forums man...... Males have banana shaped lookin' pollen sacks initially and open up. Kinda like little balls. Females have long white hairs that protrude from the stem area.

I was able to tell after about 4 weeks veg. You will see the preflowers usually on the 3rd or 4th node I believe. The females will have a white hair, and the males will form little podlike structures with no hairs. You can see these signs before you start to flower them under 12/12 light.
