I have a male cindy 99 almost 2 weeks into flowering in a one gallon pot. I was wanting to make some seeds with my white widow. I noticed this morning two female hairs coming from a lower Male pod. Only 2 on the plant but now I'm wondering if I should pollinate or not?????

I'm in the same situation as you but what the heck I've checked my females and not a single nanner only the male plant throw a few white hair. I think I'm gonna use the pollen and see if the female offspring's have the tendency to hermie.

We'll never find out if we never try.

Don't breed hermie pollen, you are spreading the hermie gene and thats not good for the community.
I agree with you about that. Although I don't think he is a true hermie with just two female hairs coming from one pod on the whole plant. Maybe he is stressed in a one gallon?

It could be a hermie pollen BUT

a) is there a precedent where a male plant hermied and have caused hermie among its progeny? Reasoned why I want to find out myself.

b) nowhere I mentioned that I would be spreading these to the community. Beside, I have plans to work on this for several generations before I'll entertain any possibility of sharing my seeds to the outside world. And, along the process if the progeny shows any tendency to hermie, I'll be the first to chuck the project.

But thank you for your concern.
