Making opium tea

I have pure opium but not pods. Can I make tea with the opium and just dissolve some of it into the water. I've tried smoking some of it and haven't really found a very effective way. I tried using a glass pipe and a screen with a bed of weed but I ended up just smoking the weed and not being able to hit the opium. So does it work if you just dissolve the opium into the water instead of the pods?

I know there is a way of making a tincture called laudanum from opium, and probably could be done with stalks and pods, with proper extracting. I do know that opiates are soluble in water so I suppose you could. Be ready for some kind of awful taste. You might be able to do hot knives, or use charcoal and put the opium with it and inhale the resulting smoke, like on a hookah.

You can definately make opium tea. Boil your h20, pour it in a cup, then add your opium and a tsp of lemon juice or vinegar (to lower the ph=helps the alkaliods dissolve) and let it steep do 5-10 minutes. fyi, a "Tincture" is just an alcoholic extract, of opium in this case, and is really overkill. Enjoy your tea.

Back when opium used to be readily available in my parts we used to just plot a gram or two in a bong and pass it around.

What color are you working with? I found the black tar to be a bit more bubbly then the gray knead eraser consistency opium. Either way, never had a problem with it melting down the bowl to much.

Another way of smoking it would be to take one of your glass spoons and hold it carb up and place the opium on the opposite side inside the bowl, that way you don't have to worry about it dripping down into the bowl.

Be careful though as the pipe will get hot.

The ask is very fine and usually accumulates from the top down.

I've never tried making a tea but I have at times let chunks sit in my mouth and later swallow and has always brought on a longer and more pleasant buzz rather than some of the intense meditational nod sessions smoking large amounts has induced.

I always enjoyed the gray opium the most :D
 
I stick with a little 10" glass opi pipe. I think it smokes to fast in a bong. I just plug the hole in the pipe with it and poke a hot needle through it. Another good way is to smoke it like hash on a tac under a glass. A frosted glass works the best.

Since when did opiates turn into stimulants and cause your body to lose weight? Do some homework, you're not turning into a "junkie" from doing Opium. Robbing your family members to do opium? You must live a very sheltered, and apparent, judgemental life.
 
if you have straight opium, or black tar opium, wouldnt that just be heroin and black tar heroin?
 
well i can never get opium in my town, i like opiates but not enough to do heroin and become an addict.

had opium very few times, but my town is full of heroin addicts and no one bothers with opium, the one time i thought i got opium recently, i ended up smoking heroin

they are both intriguing substances when placed in the hands of an educated person with good self control ;-).

Heroin is refined from morphine which is extracted from opium. Opium has oils, other opiates and other chemicals in it naturally. Black tar is acheived from using a different heroin formula (heroin-3 as opposed to heroin-4 aka powder):eyesmoke:
 
my only concern about making tea from opium is that sometimes opium can have some gnarly microbes and fungus in it. the hot water will probably kill off most of em, but i've heard of people catching some pretty nasty shit form ingesting opium orally. i would probably dissolve it in a shot of vodka or something, just to be safe.
 
Careful making Laudenum ! U can end up getting a very poisonous version of Codeine depending on method of production. 6MAM is no fun if u accidentally make some, could just fuk u up or kill u.
Best way is push some up ur rectum, but other ways is......... Get small saucer and add say 5 drops of water from end of ur fingers......rip a small bit of ur Opium bar and rub it in circles in water on saucer till its all dissolved and water is brown....You could drop weed or tobacco in there rub it in then smoke in pipe/joint......but when lighting try use end of a cigarette as any flame will DESTROY opium....I did it like that for a bit
but then i'd do the mix then swallow the liquid, it always seemed too much hassle to smoke and when ingested u get the best buzz on earth and the best dreams....But comes witha price, if you like it, it will bite u back almost same as Heroin

Well my 1st day here and I can help anyone wanting to make laudenum...........BUT know what you are getting urself into...I have recipies and do's and dont's and they need to be read b4 starting......anyone want help with refining poppy straw or latex into opium i can do that too.......
But dont do it 'just to see' because it is a very bad thing to get into.......and it will give u withdrwals like heroin just same, they have a habit of creeping up on u-then its too late, that pesky monkey is on ur back

If u just wanna dissolve some opium in alcohol for laudenum, then Hennesey brandy is numero uno (so a little bird told me) and if any of you do want to delve further I know where there are VERY concise and
accurate instructions......Describing poppy opium extraction from ground up poppy heads and/or latex collected.
When leaves fall from poppy, the pod will be green.......wait till its drying out a bit and look underneath periodically, when you see a faint brown ring on underside of pod, its ready to score.
for knife u can get 2 stanley knife blades, put something as spacer in middle of 2 blades to make blades say 3-5mm apart.
Get some tough tape and start wrapping from other end, wrap it almost all up
just leave the two blades protruding 2-3 mm
you have ur scoring knife for ur poppys
 
Dude, if you're using refined opium (or even raw for that matter) you need to be hella careful with the dosing if you are taking it internaly. It's really easy to take too much that way, and when you realize it it's kinda too late. Besides, if you have opium why wouldn't you smoke it? IMO it's much more enjoyable that way. If you just put the O on the screen (in matchhead size doses and maybe a doublle screen if your O isn't thoroughly dry) it's pretty easy to vaporize. I use large matches to do this instead of a lighter, less burned fingers and greater control. Just don't let the flame actually touch the O, light the match and draw from the pipe slowly and steadily, just enough to pull the flame down a little and enjoy. When the O stops giving off vapor, reload and do it again. You'll probably use a couple of matches per dose with this method. If you're going to make laudanum, there are a bunch of recipes the easiest of which is to dissolve the opium in just enough high proof alcohol to make it measurable. There are also some variations like acetum opii, which is a vinegar (partially acetylated quasi-heroin?) version.
