could someone explain how to make a mother plant? how do you keep it from getting to big? i heard you can keep a mother plant for years how?

Training it, keep it trimmed and bend the plant. You would be surprised how much you can bend them.
Some people just get new mothers when they get to big.

Keep topping and trimming and keep the lights as close as possible. Try to time when you need to trim and top for when you need clones as these will develop the strongest stems and roots the fastest.

Just take clones when it gets too big...
