Well it's something we used to do with shrooms and it worked really well. When you are done curing and go to put your buds in canning jars and store them away, put some C02 in there first to preserve them better! Carbon dioxide removes oxygen, so you don't have to think about your precious stash oxygenating over time. The C02 stays in there basically forever, until opened. I tested a 3 year old jar and it put out a match as soon as I put it in there.
Mix some baking soda and vinegar in a glass. After it has bubbled up, pour it over your canning jar w/ buds and put the cap on. (Don't pour the liquid out, just the gas---you can't see it)
