Its a female, but those little pods at the base of the branches kind of look like they have been pollinated

That’s what I thought but why is it like puffy where the buds will be like is starting to flower?
I live on the Canadian border and it’s June my other 7 plants don’t look like this at all and last year didn’t puff like that u til end of July august

The pods are normal, but they usually dont have a shriveled brown pistil this early in flower. You can squeeze one of them or pluck one off to check if a seed is forming inside.
