Maintain soil at full saturation with drip system?

I have a super simple indoor drip system that is supplying plants in 7 gal pots. Currently I am water twice a day for 4 min giving each plant about a liter a day. Plants are in Promix.

My question is, would it be better to maintain the pots at full saturation or should I keep them at moist which I would describe as not heavy when lifted but not ready for water either.

In the past, I would always flood and then let them dry out before watering again. Many of my buddies are using bluemat systems and those keep the meduim pretty saturated.

I am sure there have been 100’s of drip system threads but I was I able to find anything about this specific question.

If the soil gets too wet youll slow growth and get root rot. I like a wet dry cycle myself but ive never used drippers, if i used them tho id likely bury the line a few inches below the top of the soil and make sure the bottom of the container isnt saturated ever.

I was finally able to watch the video and I found it difficult to take seriously. I've personally never experienced adding water to a container of anything and it get drier. There was some good info in there, but I'm clearly using different media than they are. I think I only got 15 min into it. If there are some gems though lemme know what timestamps to listen to.

The bit about prewetting the media to make it accept water better is on point. Sure there's lots of other gems in there too.
