Thought I would finally get around to doing a smoke report for one of the strains I grew out this summer. Thought I'd start off with Motavation. For those who aren't familiar with Magus, they have recently been acquired by Serious Seeds.
Strain: Magus (now Serious) Motavation
Growth: Squat with a somewhat small main cola. The weight of this plant is in its many long, thick side branches.
Nutes: Botanicare Pure Blend Pro with Fox Farms Peace of Mind time release.
Yield: Around 5oz
Bag Appeal: I'd say 8/10. Very thick nuggets and wasn't very leafy.
Smell: Insane! I grew this outdoors, but if you decide to do Motavation inside odor control is a must. If you have to travel in the car with this, even if it is only a few joints and it isn't very far, you need to jar this stuff. Seriously, the smell is intense. Sweet at first, but as it cures it turns into a sour, almost ammonia like. The Magus description is very accurate.
Taste: Similar to the smell, but a little more musky.
The High: This weed is very potent and is definitely indica, but I was surprised. Is somewhat "heady" for an indica.
Comments: I loved everything about this strain. I hope it is back in stock by next spring because I would love to grow it again. Finishes first week of October. Very hardy and is tolerant to high summer temps. Little bit of mold in the last week or two, but then again, it did survive a hurricane.
This is the latest pic I have taken at least 3 weeks before harvest I'd say.
