i heard matches are better if you let them burn past the sulfur. i read that people who smoke fine cigars refuse to use lighters and if they do it is only with HIGHLY refined butane. apparently butane leaves some bad tastes.

I've had thoes cheap ass clear colored lighters break open and explode on my from cashing out hitters.

hell yea, i only use Bics those other ones melt at the top if you light the bowl to long but when i roll blunts or joints it doesn't matter what kind of lighter.

Just picked up a Hakko 456-16 60W Soldering Iron. I have read they work well as a lighter alternative and indeed it's pretty nice.
