yo those screen risers go inside the saucer btw, so the plants dont sit in runoff

Except I bottom feed. Top feeding would give me runoff. Wet top medium is a breeding ground for bugs. Dry medium makes it impossible for bugs to lay eggs. But maybe your one of those growers that never has had bugs
