Marijuana Advocacy Supportive Services for the Education of Society, MASSES. Getting started in California. The fundamental problem that has been noticed in the cannabis movement being the lack of networking, communication, and "Grunt Work". This group will be designed to establish the necessary networking and communication between advocacy groups, and with activists. The "Grunt Work" is the most important part. I will be posting more soon... just thought you guys should know... and see what you think... like I said, more to come later.

Mission Statement:
To establish more practical methods of communication and networking between all board approved marijuana advocacy groups and the general public. To establish self-sustaining chapters in local communities that will implement programs that benefits the local communities as well as the public image of the Cannabis Community. To provide specifically identified supportive services for board approved marijuana advocacy group activities in local, regional, state, and national forums. To get the medicinal properties of marijuana federally recognized publicly and officially, and end the prohibition of marijuana possession and cultivation. To provide board specified and approved public services.

This organization is in the process of getting started. If you are interested in becoming a member, or would like to attend the first organizational meeting, contact the person that you got this from!
 
Ok.... thanks for the enthusiasm guys!!.... I didn't think my inbox would get flooded like that... please understand that as this is just getting started, so things are going to take a little time to get fully organized.... I am shooting for the 30th of July for the first meeting to establish constitution etc. First 200 members is free!
 
No Donations are able to be received until it gets registered etc!!!!! That is extremely important! Also, you might like to know that I have copy writes to the name and general ideas. The Constitution is in its first rough draft right now, and will be posted after the first Board of Supervisors approves and signs it.
 
Rather, get people interested, let them know "basic" membership is free, there is a med section, a general public section, a lobbying section, a public works/services section, the med section will have several different "statuses", an administrative section etc etc etc. Meetings will be held weekly. We will try and set up auto membership forwarding, reduced membership costs for other groups, get a domain named web page up etc. etc. etc.
 
yes, I am the brain child, I am the founder, and I will call the shots at the beginning (but just the beginning!)

no, not yet. What you need to keep in mind, is that right now I am doing EVERYTHING as far as that goes. I know how to make it work (ask me how some other time!). Once the Constitution gets "ratified" and we register, then membership forms will be made available. If you would like to register early, then private message me (i.e. expect one from me personally)
 
im interested in donating time and money to a cause like this where are you guys located northern or southern california and when is the next meeting
 
i think its a great idea and am very interested, in november Massachusetts is trying to pass a marijuana decriminalization initiative:blsmoke:

we are up in the thousands..... just organizing right now... so nothing is completely official, gotta keep it low key until then, just recruiting...
