Luxpro Thermostat for Ideal-Air minisplit AC ??

I recently purchased an idealair minisplit ac unit, and it has a remote control that allows you to set the temperature up and down..

But in the sunlightsupply/ngw catalog, it lists a Luxpro digital Thermostat next to all of the idealair minisplit products..
Its also listed on alot of websites "for use with ideal air" etc. etc..

So my question is, why would i need this? since the unit comes stock with a remote that you change the temp with?
What does it offer that the stock unit does not?

Any kind of answer would be great!

with the luxpro ,you have programming.you can set it for 78f during lights on and 70f during lights off.i think it has 6 different setting per 24 hour period.with the remote you have to be there to push the buttons.

Well the mini-split i have is only 13,000 BTU anyway, and so no matter how low i set it, it will only cool my room down to about 78 at the lowest... So i basically just set it at 70 and it keeps my room at 78 during the lights on, and 70 during lights off.. So is there any need for the luxpro then? does it read the temps better or anything? because the readout on my minisplit head unit is always quite a few degrees different than my ecoplus digital thermometer/hygrometer.. So it seems inaccurate kinda.
