Lumens?

I've got about 12,000+ lumens lighting 4 plants... Is this enough light?

There's a formula I can't recall in the faq's. It has to do with the amount of area you're lighting, like sq.ft.

not enough light unless those are awfully small plants. you want at least 3000 lumens per square ft and preferably 6000

im pretty close to 2000 a sq/ft my box is 3 sided so i can set light on the open side to illuminate the whole plants .. will this help lower growth?

yes, and add as much as you can afford/fit

12 is enough for one plant,for 4,its barely keepin them alive

12,000 per plant?

12 is best for one plant but 9-10k is good as well

ok, so i got some more lights(all i could afford right now) and each plant is getting about 4600 lumens... can i still get some good growth or am i going to have to buy some sodium or mh lights?
