lumatek owners help!!

so i found this 250w lumatek ballast online (http://www.growlightexpress.com/gro...sts-11/lumatek-250-watt-ballast-120-v-30.html) but it says taht it needs a Sunlight Supply Light Cord (http://www.sunlightsupply.com/hort/..._LAMP_EXTENSION&title=Components&type=product) but i dont understand how i hook this ballast up to the normal wall outlet or into the light bulb...i feel like the answer is really simple but i cant understand it, please help guys...

The adaptor cord is for the ballast to lamp, the power cord is standard.

so do i have to buy a special socket for the adapter cable to plug into? does the power cord come included on the ballast?

from what i understand, the newer lumatek ballasts have a standard cord from lamp to ballast; some fixtures have proprietary cords

but i've been worrying about this too, as i'm purchasing a new reflector; the yield master 2

its the sun master cord and socket there talking about. the part the bulb screws into will have a cord at the end with the strange looking plug that will attach to your ballast. your ballast will then have a second cord that will allow you to plug right into your home outlet.

im useing the sun master euro 6 inch air cooled refector with a 400watt lumatek ballast. also most hoods have interchangeable sockets, so once you have the right one for your set up to can always switch to what ever hood you want.

so will the socket that accepts the lumatek's "special" plug come standard on most reflectors or will i have to buy that separately like i have to do with the sunlight supply cord?

yes it should, i know lumatek is quite universal. they also accept hydro farm hood plugs.

lumatek makes them with both sunlight supply and hydrofarm adapters. if you have a reflector already buy the lumatek for that one, if you ordered the rong one they make adapters to switch from sunlight to hydrofarm or vice versa.
