Lucas Formula question about high ppm

when i add my water and a Lucas ratio of 8/16ml, my ppm's are around 1200. i can put rooted cuttings in this ppm fine with no nute burn or anything. for the first 6 weeks, i would let the buckets drain down to approximately one gallon, and the ppm of this gallon would be 3000 to 4000 with a ph of 4.8, again with no ill effect to the leaves.

for the past three weeks, i have been letting them get down to 1 gallon, and adding two gallons of plain water. this brings me a little past the netpot and the ppm gets diluted to around 2500, with a ph of 5.3.

so, it seems lucas and my tap water get along fairly well with little maintenance. honestly, this is easier than soil groiwng, i have been adding plain water for three weeks and they are growing perfect.

another thing, i took my bubba kush out of the nute water and put it in plain tap water (ppm 175 ph 8.4) and the leaves are STILL solid green. why?? last round bubba tasted so terrible and i attributed it to the dark green leaves the whole cycle, so i am trying to starve it and four days now, it is still the greenest plant in the room at week 7 flowering.

is it bad to let my lucas formula get down to 1 gallon with such high ppm?? also, if people can emergency flush a soil plant for three days in water, why is any more than three days necessary for a DWC flush?

to clarify, i started all the buckets with lucas formula ppm of 1200, and from december 15 to february 7, i would top off each plant with NUTED LUCAS formula water of 8ml/16ml. Only after february 7 did i start topping off with plain water. i added some photos, the sour og is yellowing in week 6.5 and it did in soil too. in soil it got me 4 ounces and this time around it looks like 8. Your plants look good but I think they are getting over fed. Most people change out their buckets once a week. I go more like 2 weeks. If your plants were underfed your ppms would go down. Since you keep feeding them more Lucas as the water level goes down, I think there is a buildup of nutes that can't be absorbed by the plant and are just raising your ppm's.

As an example, in the past I was giving my girls around 8-900 ppm's and after a few days the water level would go down and the ppm's were down to 300. They were eating like crazy and were actually underfed. I just started giving them more, but this is one of the ways you read your plants. That green plant in straight water should start to yellow eventually but that shows you it is full of nitrogen. I went through this too in my last crop, put some plants (sour D) in straight water and they wouldn't turn yellow for a week at least.

yeah i totally agree they were overfed. i coudlnt imagine changing the bucket that often though. i had four DWC mothers that i ended up flowering, they were vegging for three months and now flowering, with never once a bucket change. they are in the pictures, they don't have root rot or pests. i am just testing my boundaries, my last grows were all soil. even in soil the bubba kush stayed green, even after 15 gallon flush.

when i chop these i will start off Lucas with maybe a 4/8ml dosage and go from there. i smoked a few branches that i knock over when i crawl around my room, and didn't notice any chem taste, just a kushy flavor with some grassiness.

being my first hydro grow, i wanted to see where i would be at using the exact lucas dosage, now i can tailor the dosage with the same ratio. i've read of success with 4ml/8ml so i will try that. my highest reading was like 4200ppm on a sour og, and everything is going good. the sour og yellowed the same way in soil and it's so diesely and citrusy it's like my favorite smoke.
