I plan to use a metal coat hanger to do a little low stress training, and was wondering how long the wire should be before i insert it into the soil to make sure it doesnt pop out during flowering, growing sativa (jah herer, similar to jack herer)

How long? Long enough to reach the soil and hold would be good. Seriously though, get yourself some twine and tie it to either holes you drill in the pot, or even thumb tacks around the perimeter of the pot. No chance of root damage that way. Can even make a paperclip chain and hook that to the pot sides, holes, or thumb tacks.

Yea, i'll prob tie it down instead... didnt really think about root damage... do you know how jack herer responds to LST, hoping to keep her kinda small because i only have around 300 Watt eqvent CFLs
