my plants are about 3 inches tall and noticed that after just 3 hours of me putting the light to the side of them they were growing nearly completely horrizontel, surely u could just lst like this? make the plant follow the light? xx:leaf:

The plant will stand back up normal or just lean towards the light. you have to tie down so it doesnt move or lean when not wanted to. I dont think this will work very good. But I hope you prove me wrong.....good luck.

yea i thought that it would just pop back up eventually, but ma sis did a level biology and she said all this complicated shit but basically a plant can only grow in the direction of the light when left freely, because its pointles for it to grow away from the light, and also by the time the plant has done a full lap of the pot the stem should b thick enough that it will stay there, got 4 plants on the go will just try it with one cus curious x

Talk to some people that regularly LST their plants - I'm not sure that cannabis plants ever get to a point where they won't just straighten back up if left to their own devices. Might be a good, lower-stress way to train them into position before anchoring or tying them though. Could call it Lower Stress Training. =P

depending on how long they are vegged they can definately hold their shape pretty well once the stem becomes a trunk (at least the strains i've worked with). if you're talking 4 weeks or less they probably won't hold. i really like the idea though. i'm just not sure some of the plant wouldn't get neglected. if the light is only coming from the side and is mainly directed at the main growing tip, what happens to the top of the canopy? if the branches don't have an excuse to grow upward and become tops (i.e. light from above) then will they grow up or would they all bend over to follow the light? it might be counterproductive and it might not, but either way i think it's a pretty cool thing to check into. good luck.

at the mo the plant is still nicely growing around the pot with my 'lower stress training' lol but on 3 of my leaves on one of the plants (not the one im fukin around with) there are small golden patches on it? its growing fine and all the other leaves are fine, rekon itll b ok? all the plants are in the same environment and nonne have the same problem
