LST slowly cutting my plant in half

Well I just want to know if anyone else has had this issue.
Most likely i think it will grow around it. My other girls have already done so, but this girl is actually almost in half at that joint area. I am nervous when it gets bigger that it will break off the major half of the plant.
I love LST and went a litlte crazy this time tying everything down trying to contain the entire thing in the circumference of the 5 gallon.

i think itll be fine, but thats pretty rough. Ive had the same issue , but not from tying down just from tweaking and bending by hand. Itll recover if its strong enough

Shot o reckon if you cut off the strong and re tie it farther up that damaged part will become a massive knot.

It should heal just fine. Later in flower if it decides to give you trouble then wrap that bastard with duct tape.

Next time don't tie it tight like that around the stem. I tie my LST strings loose, like a loop around the stem, not tight to it.

My buddy had an issue doing this-he tied it really tight around the bottom of the stalk. The plant started growing around the string, but the stem above and below it was fatter and bigger. In week 5 of flower he woke up to find the plant snapped at that point under it's own weight.

I would loosen that knot.

i agree with squid, you should cut it and retie at a safer place, it looks to me like its continually cutting into the stem and therefore wont heal until it rips it off!
i tend to just loop string over the stem i wanna bend and then fix the 2 ends to the pot, this makes it easier if you wanna extend or shorten it at a later point, and doesnt effect the plant at all.
