LST - Planting seed at the edge?

Hi,

Just preparing my first indoor grow (I did 2 outdoor grows this year) and Im going to do some heavy LST or maybe a scrog.

Anyway, question is: Am I better off planting the seed in between the middle to the edge of the pot as opposed to directly in the centre so that the plant has more space to bend? Would this detrimentally effect the rooting?

Cheers ;)

i don't think it would matter where you plant seed.
it wont hurt it to be closer to edge, if that's what you would like go for it.

I did that a couple times with a rectangular 10 gal tub. I started the seed in the corner and trailed the plant around the edge of the tub till it came back around. It worked great. Good luck and good growing

Everytime I plants my seeds I always kick myself in the ass as I always try to remember(thanks mary jane) to put seed on the edge of pot but I never do ans I fight nyself secretly so people dont think im crazy lol

I have a seed on the edge of the pot atm because I started 2 seeds in one pot and it's the only one that popped. Looking forward to the space.

I imagine that planting at the edge would only hinder root growth as the roots will hit the pot sooner on one side and cause a non-uniform root ball. I say plant in the middle, train to the edge and then train around the pot edge as per traditional LST for best results
