I'll prolly put that little light on the side of my plants if I go that close it will block the 200w, bit your plants look good as fuck

Yea just looking at my 200w blinds me it puts out 180w but it is bright as fuck, I put on my plants full blast after the seed was out of the ground for 7 days, before that I was moving it closer and closer every day by day 7 I was 20 inches away

Yeah it is excellent for vegging, it outperformed my 85w 6500k CFL which is my usual veg light (Mind you the CFL still works better for vegging lots of plants at once since you can't really fit many plants in the LED's footprint, but for one single plant it blows the CFL away)

Dose the CFLs raise your temp any I'm going to use 8 40 w 2700k CFLs when I start budding to get the most out of my plants just hope that don't rase the temp in my small ass room alot my room usaly stays at 78 to 80f 85 if I forget to change the water in my 1 gal humidifier

Yeah actually CFLs raise temps quite a bit because they are inefficient at converting electricity to light. They actually produce more heat per watt of electricity than HID lights, but because they have a much much larger surface area their maximum bulb temperature is much lower. So the bulbs don't feel as hot but they raise the ambient temperature quite a bit, but it's pretty easy to moderate with airflow. Also, people talk about CFLs being cool enough for the plants to touch them without burning, but in my experience this has not been the case. Maybe it is true with small wattage cfls like 13-26w, but definitely not true with higher watt ones (Like the 85w I veg with). You can get VERY close (like ~1") without any burning, but actually touching the bulb is a no-go. 42w kinda straddles the line, it depends on the color temp (lower temps are less efficient and run hotter), bulb design, and airflow whether or not they will become too hot to touch, so i would do a little experimenting in your particular setup before you let the plants grow into them.

yes I'm gonna test it out, I read that a bunch of smaller CFLs like the 40 watt will do better then 1 big ass cfl kuz you can spread the light around the grow room and get moor light in moor places

I agree, I don't see the benefit of the huge 250w CFLs at all. The ONLY exceptions are those Sun God Komee Lotus CFLs (http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOTUS-2100k...327?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item417d09e397), which look awesome, but they are way too expensive, for that price there are probably better options. Have you considered the Cree bulb-style LEDs? If I had known about them before I got all my lights they would probably be my first choice, they are a tad expensive (~$10 for 9.5w if bought as singles at home depot) but they last forever, are very bright, and are much cooler than even CFLs. Yea I think will now I say im going topick some up next time I get some cash, 3 kids and money is tight lol, I can't smoke right now and it sucks so I'm going to sell what my gf don't smoke and upgrade my closet make it bigger, I rent but my land lord don't give a shit what I do, but she flip is she knew I was growing lol, but she never comes to check any thing...
