Sorry Moderators I didnt want to start another thread. I tried to google this question I had but couldnt find crap:

There are some pics in this thread page 2 in the grow journal sectionof some lst I have done , my question is when I go into flowering could I keep the lst on or just cut the strings and switch it . Little puzzled. Any advice woudl be great.

hey man i dont kno to much but on my first plant i kept it tied down the whole way thru it didnt seem to slow it down or anything!but my plant did hermi late in flower but that was prob due to me trunning the lights down an hour trying to make it finish quicker!

haha yea I read fucking with lighting during flowering can really do some damage, even light leaks. During veg I heard it was okay...but I hear what ur saying..sometimes I would have to cut my lights out an hour before I go to work for no leaks (during veg).

Either way shes going to grow, I just dont want her to snap in 4 places. I could see lst being beneficial during flowering but not sure for how long. I read you could do it for a week or 2 then I suppose you cut everything.

I've used LST during the first half of flowering before, because of space issues I basically pulled all the branches apart to let more light get to the middle and make it more of a bush. The yield was basically the same for a plant that started at the same height and didnt get any LST.

when ur lsting doesnt the stem adjuest to the lst so if u untied it, it wouldnt really move casue it molded to it? idk...........

you have to wait for the stem to get pretty big before you can let it go and not have it change.

heres and example of what we did in early flowering. These are taken as it was switched over and 2 weeks in.

I keep it tied down so my canopy is even. If you untie her you'll see some branches move or at least that's been what happenes in my grow.

I think I will just experiment and maybe leave them on for couple weeks and see what happens. I can see how it wouldnt really matter since the plant will just grow either way (lst wont necessarily stop it from growing, but help the middle out). We will see.. any other input?

here is one of my plants Im doing LST on do to the space its in. I did an LST grow last year and I left it tied through the whole flowering stage till harvest. didnt seem to harm my plant at all. I thinks its actually more beneficial then a plant thats upright. i actually think im going to start LST on all my plants:mrgreen:

im using weights on this plant
