i split the main stem near where i originally topped. what can i do to prevent a disease or infection around this spot? is the stress likely to cause a hermie? i've gotten great results on the others. each top is an inch or 2 taller/shorter.
Thats why I always tie my branches at the main stem before tying them down. This is how I support my branches on the main stem. Its the best pic I could find that shows some of the bandages I use to help support the main branches.

thank you that helps, im a first timer so yeah. but it only split about a half inch down the exact center and the two branches where it split are doing fine and the stem isnt drying out. but thank you i will definitely know to do this befor hand. also the plant i did split lastnight decited to sho female thismorning so i got 3 girls out of 4. not bad for NYCD bag seed.
