LST and SCROG: Combined Efforts

Hello everyone, I have been thoroughly reading several posts and thread here on RIU about the proper way to SCROG. Seeing as SCROG in itself is a form of LST I have been wondering about the combination of SCROG and LST at the beginning stages of veg development. As described here https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/438784-lbhs-4-way-lst-tutorial.html; this LST states as a perfect set up for a SCROG grow. However a few questions arise (that I did not see answered in that thread), such as; After this initial LST does one remove the "hold" before putting up the screen or does one leave the branches tied down even into the screen stage of a SCROG grow? Also wouldn't be enough to perform the method described in the link and get the same results as a SCROG without the need of a screen? If one does have to remove the "hold" from the branches that are tied down when does one do this, before or while the screen is up? Is there a documented case where these 2 techniques were performed in the same grow? The idea behind this research is to of course maximize my available space and increases yield per square foot. In a limited space a SCROG would be more beneficial and even more so with a topped of pre-LST technique. Any information anyone can provide would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time everyone.

Regards.

i read this on an lst thread mate-- leave it tied down throughout flowering until the end. The minute you take that stake off that plant will shoot up a little bit. You can take your stakes out, but your plants main stalk will angle up and can turn your top shoots. check the thread out its got really good info-- Low Stress Training (LST) Guide

In deed a good read friend. Thanks. I kinda figured that would happen if after some time those wraps were taken off, that's why I've been curious as to how to would work with a screen in there.
