I have decided to try to grow less plants and im thinking of doing some LST next run. I have scrogged before but I didnt really like having to go in every day and mess with them. I think every LST grow I have seen has the plant tied down many many different times to keep it super low. I was wondering if anyone has experience just tying the support for the stem and just tying the top down low with no extra ties after that.

If my total veg time is about 70 days do you think i could grow some super fat bushes with this method? When you are going to flower do you take off the ties?

Ty anyone for any solid responses. I have been set in my ways for so long and its nice to come on here and try new things:clap::clap:. TYTY

Accidently said LSD instead of LST in the title....no wonder noone is responding, is there a way i can edit title?

I grew out an og kush and when it came time to transplant I put it on it's side. Not really lst, but same concept. She has no sugar branches anymore, just a bunch of tops =P. I did LST another plant though, before I put it in the scrog. I just untied it once everything was at the canopy level I wanted. 10 weeks veg is pretty crazy, should fill out nicely. You can always add or remove ties as you go, so just let the plant tell you how she wants it.

if you only make that one tie and veg for over 2 months you wont end up with a short plant. You will still get one big main cola but about 3 or for other branches will catch up enough to be considered smaller colas. If you want a bushy plant but dont want to spend the time tying them then i suggest you do a combination of topping and tying. This is a white widow about 2 and a half weeks into 12/12 that was vegged for roughly what you are looking at..

About how many ties did you use in the pics?

heaps. Probably about 15 to 20. I clip bulldog clips around the rim of the pot and use them as my anchor points. It is a little bit extra work but its not like you gotta be in there for ages every day. just spend half an hour tying probably about 3 different times during veg and you will get a multi cola bush
