Lowryders In Closet?

hey guys,

im in the planning stages of my second grow. the first grow only yielded one decent plant, (about 35g's) so i decided to spend a little more time researching proven grow techniques and procedures. along the way i stumbled upon the lowryder strains. im particularly interested in the lowryder hybrids, like the auto ak47 and diesel ryder, but any of these strains seem like they're perfect for my situation. my budget's around $1000 and space is limited to a 2'dx4'wx8't closet. my question is, how many of these dwarf plants can i cram into this small space? originally i was planning on using a couple of cheap 250 or 400w HPS/MH setups from inside sun. would i be better off with a whole bunch of CFL's? i could probably fit a bunch of extra plants that way without burning them to crap, but is it worth the sacrifice in quality and yield per plant?

I started with 3 ak47 in veg room under 400 mh for 3 weeks. Not enough room for them to reach full growth.Anyway , I switched 2 to the flower room the other was culed. After 2 plants matured I had over 3 oz of the fire. Strain is excellent, give it enough room to grow and resu lts are phenomenonul. Flower room was one 1000 hps top o line20/4

im a little confused... did you grow ak47? or the auto ak strain? from what i've read the auto ak seems to be the largest/tallest of the lowryder strains, but is still significantly smaller than the original ak47 strain. Maybe i'd be better off with the lowryder kush, lowryder, lowryder 2, and the deisel ryder?

my lowryder take up about 1 square foot each, and can grow up to 2 feet. They yeild about an ounce on average, but its not bad for 4 weeks and 6 weeks flowering.

hi there, i am also doing my first lowryder grow. I have 4 White Dwarfs & 4 Lowryder 2's. Im using a chester-draws for my grow box, it is a fairly big draw so therefore is enough room for lowryder grow. Im using 150w CFL light. So far so good, it has been almost a month and my plants are coming along quite nicely. Ive looked at various grow pics and my lowryders seems to be growing exactly how they should. I reccomend a small set up with 150w Cfl has done a wounderfull job so far. When the grow is complete ill come back with the info and verdict.

I also have 1 barneys red diesel on the side growing in there also. Im kind of using the Sea Of Green method on it due to not full ammount of room for it to grow. But it seems to be growing very fast and healthy im not sure weather thats just nutes or weather i have a good setup in terms of growing conditions.

so i'm obviously looking at only floorspace for hps/mh and possibly a shelf if i use cfl's? i'm guessing that means about 6 good plants with hps and up to 12 ok plants with fluorescents?

dude i would buy a regular strain clone the shite out her and flower all of ur clones u will have to wait a lil longer but i believe have a bigger yield and not need near as many seeds just a suggestion u can go ur lowryder route if u want been there and done that

hmmm... now i'm thinking sea of green diesel ryders from joint doctors. if the plants take up 1 square foot a piece i'll do two levels, with 8 plants on each level for a total of 16 plants. lighting will be 12-15 42 watt warm white cfl's unless you guys think i should opt for different lighting. i read somewhere that multiple small wattage bulbs dont work as well as a single high wattage light. i can get those bulbs for 8 bucks a piece though. or would i be better off with a bunch of t5's?? i've done a lot of reading, but im still a noob. any help is much appreciated.

Just a suggestion but with 8ft in height I would go for a 600 w hps in a cool tube, get a decent fan and filter and your away. To yield with autoflowering strains, you want to get as much light in there as possible whilst maintaining optimum conditions.

If you put 4 LowRider 2's in there every 4 weeks you should be looking at 4-5 onces a month maybe more. And as for space, as long as you only put 4 in at a time you'll be fine. And yes, if you want to keep it potent, then you will have to keep buying beans. But the money your saving not having to buy weed, will pay for your beans tenfold.

Thats just what I would do tho

you can put 9 mid size plants in there with a 400watter....but u have to have air flow..and take care of the heat in that small place...a SOG in there with a 600watt..lots of small pots...and ur golden "pony boy".....lol..good luck and peace

i'm a little worried about power consumption. i dont want to get nailed if my electric bill goes through the roof... guys around here (long island) are getting pinched left and right. i'd really rather stick with cfl's for the moment.

it's really not that bad if u use 1 400watt maybe 20 bucks a month
