Lowryder #2 Auto - main cola issues - HELP!

Hi all

I'm concerned because one of my LR2s (in an Autopot) is having issues with the main cola. Namely the main cola is being outperformed by the side branches which are shooting up much higher.

Has anyone else experienced this with small plants such as these and how will this affect the production of the main cola?

I'm raising 2 x JD Lowryder #2 under this setup:

Tent (open from front) 0.76 x 0.76 x 1.2 (meters)
Lights: 2 x 250w Dual Spec Maxibright CFL with 2 x 20w CFL at sides
Medium: Coco (Canna)
Nutrients: Canna Coco A + B, Canna Rhizotonic, Canna Boost Accelerator, PK13/14
System: 1 x Autopot and 1 x Pot in tank system

Thanks for all your help guys!

I have added a 250w Red CFL light to the mix so now we have 500w dual and 250w red!

sounds like you just got yourself a whole bunch of tops w/out even doing LST.. some ppl spend a lot of time training their plants to do that.. if they continue to out preform when they finish you can harvest all your fat buds now that have turned into a bunch of main colas and leave the "main" cola to finish a little longer.. then you get to enjoy all your extra bud.. enjoy!!!!

As you can see the central main cola is becoming dwarfed by the other side shoots. I think its because the light placement and the fact I left the pots only half filled with Coco trying to save space in height - as you can tell I don't have more space!!

Many more noob mistakes to come lol. These suckers can get big.just research low stress training and mold the plant to fit your growing space. But the plant looks perfect and a level canopy is ideal for lower wattage grows.

you're fine. nothing is wrong. somehow it topped itself. your plant doesn't need to present in that classic xmas tree look to be healthy. i bend and supercrop my plants to keep them bushy so i never have a big main cola anymore.

what lights are those? my plant did the same thing, I just had it side lit from the jump so the inner shoots got plenty of light. You are fine, it's a good thing man. more buds

The lights are 250w CFL (2 x Dual Spec and 1 x Red) They seem to be thriving if I'm honest! I can see loads of hairs so I'm not complaining. I'm not sure if this happened because of the 1/2 full pots or the light distribution in the dual reflector. Either way - I can't wait for the finish and harvest. I will keep posting pics for any LR2 growers. I have to say I really am finding it easy is growing like mad!! Can't wait to see it next week!!

hells yea man, you're doing good. I was curious cause it looks like the lights are shoved down inside the plant. which dual spec bulbs are you using? I was looking at the new-ish Feliz ones recently. read some bad stuff about the Sun God ones, but most of it had to do with the shape of the bulb.

I just hung up 2 of those #2's to dry..they smell super skunky rub up against a branch and it embeds it's smell into your skin lol
good luck with yours! this will be my third #2 growZ.. the taste is just as mouth watering .. you will enjoy

They are Maxibright Dual 250w ones and apparently the 300w ones are better but less stable. So far they seem really good. Just now I'm dealing with the leaves turning very dark green and looking slightly waxing and wondering it may be a heat issue caused by the ballasts of the 3 bulbs! Will let you know how they turn out. But the CFL are available from £10 here in the UK!

dark green is a abundance of N
the leaf tips curling down is a sign of overwatering
if they taco and claw down its a N tox

a bit of curl under
do you water when your pot is lite ?
honestly dont see much clawing could just be the pics
it usually will be on newer growth up towards the top of the plant
they taco down and tip curls down
