Lowering ph help in DWC

Still freshly new to the forum and I just set up my first grow in a deep water culture that's 5 gallons. My ph is maintaining at 6.8-7 and I was wondering what's the best way to lower the ph? Is it safe to add the ph down directly into a nute mix and cycle through? Or do I need to flush the res? I'm nervous about dumping a strong acid solution through my medium (clay beads) and roots. Thanks

I drop it straight into the rez, but avoid hitting the roots. I run DWC as well.

If you have a res. Add chems there.

Some of my food lowers my PH (FF Tiger Bloom does it) so I always adjust after adding any nutrients.

I would shoot for a PH between 5.8-6.1 in hydro.

I PH to 6.0 when I redo or top off my res.

I always add 1 gram of Epsom salt per gallon to supplement Magnesium when feeding,

I feed 4 times a. Day, My PH goes from 6.0 to 5.4 every other day.

My water is 7.3 so I balance with water instead of a chemical.

im in the end of Flower, last 10-14 days I guess. I am not adding anything but water.

The salts built up in my system ( around tray and in tubing and pump)

my PPM is a little over 600.

pretty much what I've done, but over in the UB thread some dude (name escapes me and I'm too lazy to look) is advocating starting at 5.2 or sumthin like that and working up from there...says it alleviated the Cal-mag cycle....(paraphrasing)...his reasoning sounded plausible (shocking I know, and on a forum..ha ha) .... I'm gonna keep an open mind and give that a shot....

i dilute the acid in a handheld bucket then pour it in, i always flush my bucket after to remove acid residue.

A reall lemons juce will drop your ph down as well..

not disagreeing but just thinking out loud...
similar to lemon juice, I've used vinegar in the past ...just wondering if using an organic acid source possibly feeds gray slime type rot...
